I have always enjoyed the company of the elderly because of the wisdom and knowledge they bring. I was fortunate to be very close to my grandparents growing up. My grandfather had to be cared for for the last few years of his life, I took part in that giving him baths, rolling him in the bed, transferring him from bed to wheelchair and things of that nature. He passed away in December of 2015, I miss having the company of older people in my life. In high school in the year of 2013, I was in a medical course that prepared us for our CNA, I did what was similar to an internship at a rest home and took care of elderly patients. I did not go through with getting my CNA because I realized I don't want to necessarily be in a medical career, but I am passionate about helping those who can't help themselves. I think this would be a great fit for now. I I think it is important for the young to take care of the old, and I would love an opportunity to do so!
