About Laya

My name is Laya and I am passionate about caring for children in a way that makes them feel valued and respected! I have a bachelors from Brandeis University in Theater Arts, Psychology, and Judaic Studies. I am currently in graduate school in Newton for the next five years. As part of my studies, I have taken multiple developmental psychology courses so I have both an experiential and academic basis for working with children. I have had experience working in Daycare with the 2-3 age group, at a Hebrew school as a Music teacher, substitute, and main teacher with grades pre K-7th. I also worked as a Rock Climbing Coach for ages 6-12, and as a nanny in multiple homes: for a 5 y/o three nights a week, during the summer with three boys aged an 8-month-old, 3 y. o, and 5 y/o, two girls aged 7 and 9, and another family with 6 and 8-year-old girls. I am currently looking for full time summer employment during June 2nd-August 28th. Please reach out if you might be interested!
