I had the supreme pleasure of being a live-in caregiver for a dear elderly friend (former neighbor) for 6 months back in 2016 when I was between teaching jobs, until his family moved in and could care for him until his passing. I returned to teaching until I moved to Maine and became a nanny! As a former caregiver and current nanny, my skills include simple meal prep, limited laundry, pet care, errands, maintaining contact with the family via notes about the day, and companionship during the day.
