My experience with infants to adolescents is extensive. I have worked at 4 daycare centers and got my senior staff certification in the 80s. I went on to run camp programs at the YMCA, taught preschool, ran a 2 yr old program and potty trained like a guru, ran a before and after school program, and my favorite- ran an infant program with six infants. I moved on to elder care after my mothers very long goodbye from Alzheimer's disease, and have been quite successful, but still choose to sit at the kids table, and they're happy to have me! A friend just transitioned back to children from elder care, and it's been inspiring to me. May be time for a change for the right family:)

Coming home every day was glorious. Like living at the Ritz. If you are a busy executive or family that needs an extra set of super-efficient hands Laurie is perfect. Her joyful demeanor, initiative to get things organized and determination to not let things go to waste (bananas, meat, whatever)were a Godsend. Often Laurie’s meals would be the only thing I ate that day. Never something I asked her for just one of the many things she did everyday which made my life better, more peaceful, more organized, systems were in place and she managed the house with precision. She will be an added value to any person or family she works for, the hardest part of moving was having to her go. Although I asked if she would come with me, that’s just how much of an impact she made in my home.
