About Laurie

I am available to help take care of your of your mom or dad. I have done senior care on and off for many different family members over the years that took ill and could no longer take care of themselves. I did things such as prepare meals, help with getting them dressed, running errands, taking them to doctor's appointments, caring for wounds as prescribed by doctor, managing medication, or plain old keeping them company for the day. I believe that seniors are special and should be treated that way. I find there are not enough people out there that really care to make the difference. I would like to be the person that makes them feel as though they still count and that they are not just a burden to others. I care to a fault, because I have watched many seniors get mistreated and it truly breaks my heart. For this reason I went to school to become a medical assistant. I am CPR certified, so I can better serve people and make that difference in someone's day or life. Just a simple smile can change a person's day from gloomy to sunny and I would like to be that person. Even though I have never been paid to do this, I get gratification from making some one's day.
