About Lauren

I am a bubbly and energetic teacher who is looking to make extra money! I worked as a camp counselor for 6 years and I am on my 4th school year as a teacher. I am currently a 9th grade science teacher at Ewing Marion Kauffman School in KCMO. I have a lot of experience working with children of all ages, abilities, and needs. My students would describe me as fun, energetic, and compassionate. My favorite part of being a teacher is building connections with my students and getting to see them be successful and grow self-confidence in their abilities. I do think kids are kids, but it's up to adults to teach them to respect others, nature, and the world around them. My passion is teaching kiddos about this fantastic world around us. Because I am a teacher I work during school hours 7-4:45 each day but I am available after school and some weekends. I am offering tutoring services, but I would be open to possible nannying/ babysitting opportunities if needed.
