About Lauren

In college I spent 300+ hours working with Jumpstart Education, which ensures children enter kindergarten prepared to succeed. I also worked at the Pepperdine writing center, where I helped revise other student's work. In China, I spent time as a boarding school and college admissions counselor guiding Chinese students through the application process and offering advice on their essays and resumes for American schools. Since it's common for Chinese students to take the AP exams without having the courses offered at their school, I designed and taught courses that would enable them to score a 3 or higher. For weaker or younger students, I did a lot of one-on-one work helping them with their weakest subjects. While I was mostly hired to teach or edit English writing, I was often hired to help students struggling with AP Human Geography, public speaking, world history, resumes and STEM courses. Additionally, I've been hired to design modern ppts and write business plans for professionals.
