About Lauren

Hi my name is Lauren! I am currently in nursing school at The University of Iowa and I have a passion for working with kids! Although I am new to Care. com I have lots of experience with children over the years. I started babysitting when I was 16 and have since transitioned into roles as a summer nanny, youth soccer coach, and camp counselor with the YMCA kids club. I hope to work in pediatrics one day as a nurse so I am CPR and First-Aid certified. I would describe myself as an active and positive person who is always looking for fun! My current hobbies are gardening and DIY furniture flipping. My top childcare skills are communication as I have experience with diverse populations including kids with disabilities, as well as creativity when looking for fun ways to stay entertained. One thing I want families to know about me is that I have a big heart! I care deeply about everyone in my life and that transfers to how I go about everything in and outside of my work and school life too.
