About Lauren

My name is Lauren and I'm a fiction writer living in Hollywood, California. I'm 27 years old with three pets! I'd describe my personality as affectionate, bookish, and calm. I like working with kids because it's the closest I can get to magic. Being with children reminds me of my own childhood---before bills, stress, insecurities, etc. They remind you the joy of things that you forget as an adult. I'm looking for a job that is stable. I'm writing a book in my free time and thrive off a predictable schedule! I started working with kids when I was still a kid myself! By 16 years old I was a cheerleading coach for Spartan Cheer, an afterschool for elementary aged girls! In my spare time, I like to write! I recently graduated from my MFA where I started my short story collection. One thing you should know about me is I'm recently engaged! I mention this because I would love to have a family of my own one day and would enjoy exercising my motherly instincts in the meantime!
