About Lauren

I am 31 years old and have an elementary education degree from Central Connecticut State University. I have known my entire life that I wanted to work with children so I have been volunteering in schools, babysitting, and working as a camp counselor all throughout high school and even afterwards. I went on to be an interventionist and first grade long term substitute in Middletown, CT before landing my dream job as a kindergarten teacher. I taught Kindergarten for 5 years in New Britain, CT and I loved every minute of it! During my summer months off from school, I was the head supervisor for Cromwell Park and Rec. and ran the K-1st grade camp site. After my 5 five years of teaching, I went on to pursue a new career in healthcare recruiting and excelled in this for a few years. After a lot of thought, I have made the decision to return to my roots of working with children. I have decided this is where my passion lies and it's what I was meant to do!
