About Lauren

I'm an independent 26-year-old female working as an automotive technician. I would really love to be a mentor for children to show them that they really can be anything they want to be regardless of societal norms. I didn't come from money, I had to work very hard to get where I am today. I want to show young kids how much their hard work pays off and how important it is to take their education seriously. Despite the fact that I chose the automotive industry as my career, I still pushed through school as if I was going to law school just in case. Sometimes kids just need an adult to look up to outside of the family to get that little push for motivation in life. When it comes to young girls, it is extremely important to build their confidence and self esteem in order to ensure success. Being a woman in the automotive field has provided me with so much experience building that confidence myself and I would love to help other girls do the same.
