About Lauren

Hello! My name is Lauren and I just graduated from UVA with a degree in Elementary Education! I am in the Hampton Roads area for the first half of the summer until I move back to Charlottesville to be a 1st-grade teacher this fall. I just completed my student-teaching in 1st and 5th grade classrooms this school year, teaching, math, social studies, reading, and writing to 16-21 students and small-groups. I have worked in independent and public schools with a broad range of ages and received highly favorable mid-year and end-of-year evaluations from my mentor teachers and supervisors. I have also worked in my church's nursery since I was 13, babysat since I was 15, and have volunteered in elementary school classrooms for four years.
