About Lauren

While I currently have a feline friend in my apartment, I love dogs, bunnies, and reptiles too. I spent my young life living on a farm where we had all sorts of animals. I have a steady rotation of pets who I care for in DC, with varying abilities and needs. I have experience caring for senior dogs over 15. My precious baby, Momo, and adorable black cat has high-levels of anxiety and underwent a pretty major surgery a few years ago. Treating her anxiety and post-surgery needs, provided me with invaluable experience for caring for anxious animals. It also reminded me how connected we are to our pets! I learned so much about caring for an animal recovering from surgery, both emotionally and physically. I have a full time remote job with an international non-profit. I'm currently sitting pets on the side to help fund upcoming travel.
