About Lauren

After majoring in English with a focus in Writing and a minor in Business Administration at Belmont University, I hopped across the pond and earned a Master of Letters in Romantic and Victorian Studies from the University of St Andrews in Scotland. My tutoring experience is vast as I have worked with adult refugees as they sought to improve reading, writing, and speaking skills; I have coached high school, undergraduate, and graduate students across disciplines through the brainstorming, drafting, and revising stages of the writing process I have also worked as a reading/writing tutor for elementary and middle school students. Together, we tackled homework and their grades continued to improve as they realized that learning can be fun. I believe education is empowering and cultivates empathy, which is why I prioritize compassion and curiosity above all else in my sessions, ensuring that each student is equipped with the unique strategies they need to feel confident going forward.
