About Laurel

Hi! My name is Laurel, and I am a clinical psychology doctoral student with seven years of paid experience working with children and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Loyola Univerisity Chicago. Since 2019, I have taught American Red Cross swim lessons to children ages 3 months through 12 years, helping them build confidence while maintaining a safe and encouraging environment. I also have experience nannying, tutoring, leading a Brownie Girl Scout troop, and working as a behavioral therapist with autistic children. My psychology education and experience have strengthened my understanding of child development, emotional regulation, and neurodiversity. I am patient, dependable, energetic, and comfortable caring for children with a variety of ages, personalities, and needs. I enjoy creative activities, outdoor play, helping with homework, and creating a routine where children feel safe, supported, and able to have fun. I look forward to connecting with your family!
