About Laurel

I have over 10 years of paid sitting experience, having done so since high school. I am a lifelong AP and honors student, who graduated in the top 20% of my class at Loyola University Chicago for undergrad, majoring in Film Production and minoring in History. While there, I served for two years as a Writing Center tutor, before being promoted to a Writing Fellow in my final year; a TA position that allowed me to tutor an entire University Writing 101 class for about 20 college freshmen. I'm currently studying to get my Masters in Youth Librarianship from UIUC. I've taken courses so far in Early Literacy, Children's and Teen's Materials, Children's Programming, and Bibliotherapy, and am well-equipped to provide engaging, educational literacy support to children from K-12.
