From teaching swim lessons, to nannying/babysitting, and working with autistic kids, I've learned to care for children in many facets over the past six years. As a lifeguard teaching swim lessons, I taught 6-8 preschoolers for 1 hour at a time, teaching them basic water safety and encouraging them to practice new skills in the water. As a nanny/babysitter, I handled 1-2 children at a time. I regularly sat children who were between 3-10, but occasionally babysat younger infants and toddlers. My most consistent experience has been working with autistic children for 3 years. This was very rewarding work and taught me so much about how to be a better childcare professional, regardless of the child's special needs status. Please feel free to ask any questions!
