Laura was my son's nanny for one year from the time he was 4 months to 16 months (along with my co-worker's baby that was the same age). She only left because she moved to Denver to be closer to her sister. Laura is an outstanding nanny. She truly looks out for the best interest of my son and my dog. She would often take initiative to tell me about upcoming developmental stages or something she read online that could apply to him. I told her that I've often thought about what would happen to my son if something happened to my husband and I, and I wouldn't hesitate to have her be the one to take care of him. I hope that doesn't make me sound crazy but shows the amount of trust I have in Laura. I interviewed 20 or so candidates initially, and it was Laura's genuine nature that really stood out. She also cooks very healthy and comes up with creative toddler food which was important during the transition from milk to food. It's also rare that a nanny is truly "dog friendly". They might say that they are, but Laura really is. Early on, my dog was choking on something and without knowing what it was, she opened his jaw and pulled it out and it was a bone. I think most nannies would be timid to do that for the fear that they might get bitten, but Laura's first priority was the dog's safety. That's the kind of person Laura is. Laura will be very dedicated to any family she is a part of. Laura will always be a part of my family.
