I have teaching/tutoring experience primarily for the preschool and elementary ages. I had nanny experience with a 3 year old and her sister who was 1. 5 years old. The 3-year-old girl has been battling kidney disease which the parents were in charge of giving her medication and doctor check-ups while I was observing and taking care of mood swings and behavior. Her sister had no medical/behavior issues. Being they were close in age, as a nanny I was able to incorporate educational lessons/activities such as "circle time", calendar, etc. reading/writing and math, story-time, arts and crafts, playing games, music, play, outdoor play, swimming, day trips, play dates, etc. Since I'm a teacher/tutor during September-June, this is why I'm seeking summer employment. I love working with children and their families!
