I am an engagement specialist. You give me a basic bio of your loved one including career, interests, favorite music, etc and I take it from there. Additionally I can assist in many areas of every day living: mobility, hygiene, eating & drinking, medication prompting, light housework, cooking , meal prep, shopping & transportation to appointments . I started caring for seniors when my best friend was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2017. Serving as his Healthcare Surrogate and Primary Caregiver, I assembled a team to manage 24/7 care so he could live his best life. In my spare time, I like to spend time with friends and staying physically active.
I am pleased to recommend Laura based on her extraordinary dedication, compassion, and commitment as a caregiver. I had the privilege of witnessing firsthand the exceptional care she provided to a close friend of ours after he suffered life-altering injuries when he was struck by a car while riding his bicycle. Following months in the ICU and a rehabilitation facility, the trauma significantly accelerated the progression of his Alzheimer's disease and dementia. For approximately seven years, Laura served as his primary caregiver, remaining devoted to his well-being until the day he passed away. Throughout that time, she consistently demonstrated remarkable patience, empathy, and professionalism. She ensured that his physical needs were met with the highest level of attention, always prioritizing his health with good, healthy food and physician visits, safety, comfort, and personal dignity. What distinguishes Laura, however, is her understanding that exceptional caregiving extends beyond physical care. She was deeply committed to maintaining our friend's quality of life and emotional well-being. Rather than simply attending to his daily needs, she actively engaged him in conversation, played music, encouraged appropriate exercise, and created opportunities for laughter and meaningful interaction. She worked tirelessly to keep him socially connected, mentally stimulated, and engaged with the world around him for as long as possible. Laura's compassion, dedication, and unwavering commitment had a profound impact on his life. She treated him with dignity, kindness, and respect throughout his long and difficult journey, providing not only care but also friendship, encouragement, and companionship. I can say without hesitation that Laura possesses the character, work ethic, and caregiving skills that make her an exceptional candidate for any role involving the care and support of others. I give Laura my highest recommendation and am confident that she will bring the same level of professionalism, compassion, and dedication to any position she undertakes. Sincerely, Traci Walters
