About Laura

I'm Laura, a licensed teacher who has spent the last 10 years working with children and youth in a wide varieties of ways. Roles/titles/jobs I've had in the last decade include: paraeducator, nanny, coach, special needs nanny, preschool teacher, high school English teacher and camp counselor. I'm patient and understand how to connect with children; I care about getting to know them for who THEY are. I value collaborating with parents to ensure that their children are being loved, nurtured, and respectful. I take discipline seriously and fully support families in age appropriate boundaries and consequences. I love engaging with children in their passions, playing outside, staying active, crafts, sports, enjoying nature and reading. I do not rely on screen time as a nanny/childcare worker. I care deeply about supporting and stewarding youth so they feel confident, secure, and excited about life. I'm looking to serve families that value honesty, responsibility, and compassion.
