About Laura

I am a certified teacher in both general and special education, grades 1-6. I have a Bachelors Degree in Childhood Education and a Masters Degree in Teaching Students with Disabilities. I have taught 5th grade and 3rd grade in long term subbing positions, and I have been a substitute teacher in every elementary grade level for a total of 7 years. I also taught a year of 7th grade special education. I am the director at a summer camp in Ithaca for children ages 5 to 8 years old and have worked there for the past 6 summers. I have also worked at another summer camp as well as at various after school programs. I have been a part time nanny and have babysat for families in the Ithaca area. I am passionate about working with and caring for children. I can provide engaging, meaningful, playful experiences for children. My extensive experience with children makes me the perfect candidate for any family looking for exceptional childcare. I am professional, reliable, and have transportation.
