About Laura

I'd describe my personality as optimistic, joyful, silly, & creative. I love working with kids because they are brilliant, hilarious, & imaginative. They remind me that life is about balance having fun while still getting things done. I'm looking for a role where I can show up as myself, support kids in their everyday lives, bring joy into the home, & work with parents who value me as a person, not just a caregiver. I started working with kids professionally in 2017. My first nanny kid lived in a local neighbor and is now in college, which makes me feel ancient lol. In my spare time, I work on creative projects. I'm an artist & urban systems thinker. I also love illustrating animals & taking workout classes with friends. One thing to know about me is that I believe healthy caregiving relationships are built through communication, clarity, & mutual respect. My skills include curating creative activities, outdoor adventures, & skill-building experiences based on a child's interests.
