I have made my life's work serving children and their families! I have worked as a Professional Nanny since 1994. I began my Nanny Career in Santa Fe, NM, providing childcare to all area hotels and vacation rentals. I have lovingly served and nurtured more than 30 Nanny families in their homes since then. In addition, I have been a Doula, Preschool and Kindergarten Teacher, Daycare Center Director, Nursery Coordinator, Licensed Family Daycare Provider and Home Visitor. I hold a B. S. degree in Child Development and am a Certified Child Birth Assistant. My husband and I have three outstanding adult children and 2 grandchildren. Laura helped us with our baby girl for approximately six months. She is responsible, detail-oriented, and very helpful in providing structure/schedules for little ones. She is well-versed in Montessori method and helped me organize my toddlers toys to reflect this which was much appreciated.

We went to grand junction to escape the wildfire smoke in Fort Collins. Laura was just what I, and my son needed. I needed a night off and my son needed some fun time with a great babysitter. Laura did a great job and brought her bag of fun activities that my son loved. Thank you Laura!

Laura was such a big help to my family during our transition to Grand Junction from out of state. I am so thankful we had her help with our toddler during a very chaotic time. Laura took care of our kiddo from ages 4-9 months. She was very punctual and flexible with my changing work schedule. She was very instrumental in getting our child on a schedule. We were having a really difficult time with naps and Laura was so helpful with her knowledge and experience. Laura was very good at communicating with us. Laura was our full time nanny here in Grand Junction to our child from age 5 months to 25 months old. She is definitively a professional and we were so blessed to work with her for as long as we did. Laura is a teacher/caregiver, not a babysitter. When a family needs a trustworthy, calm, loving presence for their young child(ren)-- she's your lady. Her background is amazing and she will bring joy into your house. Consistent, attentive, and intelligent, Laura is a rare find in Grand Junction.

Laura worked as a nanny with our family for over a year, beginning in June 2019 and ending just recently. She provided warm, wonderful,  reliable care for our baby and occasionally for our 3 year old. Both the kids loved spending time with her. She has a very experienced, calm, and easy-going way of interacting with children. She's a great communicator and is very professional. 

Laura has cared for babies and kids in many different contexts and knows a lot about child development. She guided our baby towards fun new challenges, like learning how to eat with utensils, playing peek-a-boo, stacking blocks, early walking, etc. With our toddler, she knew how to gently defuse temper tantrums, and how to engage with humor, as well as special toys and activities. Some days, Laura would show up like Mary Poppins, carrying a big bag of toy cars or duplos or dinosaur figurines that would delight the kids. 

We absolutely loved working with Laura and would recommend her very highly.

Myself and my family traveled to Santa Fe, NM from Houston.  This was our first trip as a family of 5 (with us was our sweet baby boy, F. - 4 months old).  We placed our two older children in ski school and decided to hire Laura as a caregiver for F.  As you can imagine, leaving your four month old with a stranger can be daunting - well NOT with Laura.  She is the sweetest lady, with a matching sweet demeanor.  Laura was extremely thorough in her communications and asked all the right questions - she really made me feel comfortable from the initial contact!  Not only that - but as soon as we arrived in Santa Fe, she called to confirm all details for the following day.
On the day - Laura was punctual and connected with F. immediately.  Again she asked questions and made notes.  When we returned from our day of skiing, Laura had written a timeline of F.'s activity for the day (which as a Mother is SO reassuring).
I only wish Laura lived in Houston! She is beyond wonderful.

Laura was responsive and prompt in our initial communication about watching our two kids (ages 13 and 9). We decided to hire her after reviewing her profile, depth of experience, and positive reviews. 

Prior to our trip, Laura asked about the boys interests and brought a bag full of games to play with them when she arrived to watch them while we went out to dinner. The boys had a great time with Laura and even had lovely watercolor artwork to show us, which they created using supplies that Laura brought along with her. 

Finally, Laura gave us a fantastic recommendation for a kids' toy store to visit in town, which we did and all brought home unique souvenirs from that store. We will definitely keep Laura in mind for future visits to Santa Fe.

Laura cared for my infant daughter in my hotel room while I was at a work conference. She was calm and experienced and even brought a few toys with her, which was great! My daughter loved her.

Laura helped us out when we came into to town on holiday. She watched our twin babies so that we could spend the day on the mountain. She was wonderful and very thoughtful. We felt confident that our children were in good hands.

Laura is dependable, trustworthy, fun, energetic, and wise. I will continue using her services.
