About Laura

My name is Laura. I love kids and have various experiences working with children of all ages. I have worked as a first grade English teacher and a Montessori preschool English teacher. I also worked for Home Away as a Spanish teacher for 3-5-year-olds. However, my best experience working with children comes from being a mother myself. As a mother of two, I have enjoyed the privileges of caring for my children as a stay-at-home mom. These experiences, , have taught me to understand children's needs and meet them in ways that make them feel happy and comfortable. With both of my children in college, I find myself with the availability and desire to care for kids again. Outside of caring for children, I have practiced yoga for the last 14 years, and I am currently licensed as a yoga instructor. Practicing yoga has taught me to be calm and collected. I do not smoke or drink. I have a clean driving record. I have been married for 20 years and I have a stable happy life.
