About Laura

I am a bilingual teacher in Colombia, I worked for one and a half years in a preschool in Colombia while I was studying for my degree and teaching. I have been in the USA for almost 2 years. I have been working as a nanny with two families. Most of my experience in California had been with toddlers. However, I am qualified to work with infants and older kids. My responsibilities have included preparing meals, feeding, diaper changing, activities to encourage cognitive and motor skills, potty training, crafts, driving to/from school, and extracurricular activities. Usually, I work with the family approach to parenting, however, I'm very familiar with Montessori one. I'm a very responsible, reliable, patient, and organized person. I like to work with parents as a team for the kids well-being. I'm an outdoor person, I like hiking, skating, and biking. I also enjoy reading, and writing.
