As a senior care partner I work with the family, staff or agency to help meet the needs of a loved one. I am reliable and trustworthy. I always provide oversight and guidance to individuals during overnight shifts; and provide companionship (when available) during the day. In most cases I provide living assistance to individuals suffering from memory loss, dementia or Alzheimer's. In some cases, the individual may temporarily be staying in a facility, healing from surgery or on hospice care. Or relief for the individual giving the care. I routinely review and follow care plans to obtain details about care. I help keep them safe by transferring in and out of bed and wheelchairs while providing side by side walking assistance. I provide medication reminders and meal prep. If they are in the end stages of life, or as needed, I can take and chart vitals. I also alert any changes in the clients behavior to the client's family in a prompt manner.
