About Langel

I am an Orton-Gillingham tutor for students with Dyslexia, ADD/ADHD, auditory processing disorder and other learning differences. In other words, I have proven success working with students using a multi-sensory phonetic approach. Especially students with and other learning challenges benefit from this method. I have helping out neighbors and friends with their children's homework for a few years. Not only have I done that, but I used to help my brother for the past 6 years with his homework every weekday. It is special bonding time and fun/learning. I also was hired to tutor a boy from my church in multiplication. After a few weeks of two times per week tutoring, his testing grades went up dramatically. It is fun to work and to progress together. :)

L'Angel is an exceptional tutor. She has worked with G., my great granddaughter, over several summers, and the Orton-Gillingham approach has certainly improved G.'s reading level. More important than the reading level, however, is the excitement about reading that L'Angel gives her pupils. After a summer with L'Angel, G. actually volunteered to read in front of her class so the other students could see the progress she had made. Working with her pupils is not simply a job; it is a calling for L'Angel. An added bonus for parents is that L'Angel keeps excellent records, and that can be a great help when trying to work with a public school system.
