About Lainie

Hi I am Lainie! I am majoring in Human Development and minoring in Education and Judaic Studies. I have work experience with children ranging from the ages of 1-15. While I am studying here at Binghamton, I am working at Ben Franklin Elementary School with a first grade classroom as classroom support. For the past four summers, I have been a sleep away camp counselor at Cedar Lake Camp. This past summer I held the position as Assistant to the Division Head. I supervised over 30 staff members and 119 campers for eight weeks. I created and organized daily programs for the campers while ensuring safety and support. Additionally, starting in middle school and still to now when I am home for breaks, I regularly babysit for multiple local families in my neighborhood. My family has just welcomed a newborn baby sister as well, so I am well educated on early childhood development, procedures, and routines.
