About Laina Jane

Hello, I am a student at FSU currently taking a gap year to explore other interests and opportunities. During my time in dual-enrollment and in college, I took algebra 1, philosophy, creative writing, contemporary art, biology, three years of Latin, UROP (research class). I currently have no formal education or experience in teaching or tutoring. However, I have participated in a mentorship program with Leon County Schools, which lasted for a few months, during which I helped a first grade student learn to read. I have also spent a lot of time with kids and I have learned to love one-on-one teaching through my experiences helping fellow college students and friends with their studies. I am creative, patient, and passionate, and I believe I will more than make up for my lack of experience through my timeliness and work ethic.
