About Lacey

Hello! I have lived in New Orleans for 12 years and am in the final year of my Ph. D for Curriculum and Instruction at LSU. I spent eight years managing an intergenerational family literacy program for a state-wide organization but took this year off of full time work to finish my dissertation. I have a deep love for learning and literacy. I love crafts, stem projects, games, cooking, and tend to follow the lead and interest of the children or youth I'm working with. I have experience with toddlers (I taught head start and nannied for a family with a 3-year-old) and have worked with children ages 2-16 in after school programming and extracurricular programs. In my free time I love taking my small bulldog for walks, cooking, traveling and doing puzzles. I'm happy to answer any questions about my experience and can't wait to meet you and your family!
