About Laasya

Nurturing children's curiosity and supporting their growth is at the heart of my work. With three years of childcare experience and extensive volunteer experience in early childhood development and youth mentorship, I bring a calm, patient, and creative approach to caregiving. As a docent and Gallery Educator at the Fralin Museum of Art, I was trained in dialogic teaching methods that encourage curiosity, critical thinking, and confidence through conversation. I also mentored elementary students through the Fralin's Early Visions program in partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of Charlottesville. I hold a bachelor's degree in English and love creating engaging, enriching experiences through art, reading, outdoor play, and educational activities. I'm also happy to assist with meal preparation, carpooling, and light housekeeping, and I strive to create a warm, supportive environment where children feel safe, inspired, and encouraged to grow.
