About Kyla

Hello! I am an energetic, artsy, and cheerful recent graduate from the Ecology, Evolution, and Marine Biology program at UC Santa Barbara. I love kids and have seven years of experience as a caregiver. I have a passion for science, and love to nurture children's' innate curiosity through art and games. I have experience with kids of all ages, from caring for infants to tutoring high school students. In highschool I lifeguarded and babysat, then throughout college I continued babysitting and began tutoring. I was also the Peer Advisor for the Biology department, where I worked one-on-one with students to develop study plans, create course schedules, and assist with technical navigation of the large university. In my free time I love backpacking, surfing, and cooking. I was previously lifeguard, first aid, and CPR certified, and am happy to renew those certifications if requested. Both myself and my housemates are fully vaccinated.
