About Kuan

I am nurturing. It is natural for me to want to meet the needs and care for those around me. I'm looking for a job that is consistent. A job where I feel that I am helping out and valued for it. One with open communication, respect, and trust. I started working with kids when my daughter started going to daycare almost 4 years. Working at a daycare slowly gravitated to me becoming a certified EC-6 teacher and now I am currently perusing a Masters in Teaching. In my spare time, I like to read and journal. I also enjoy spending time outdoors with my husband and daughter. I work as a Pre-K teacher during the school year. Therefore, I enjoy introducing children to SEL skills, phonological awareness, early math skills. This is something I would like to do with the family I work for, if comfortable. (Not required, just a plus) I am patient with children, I prefer hands on activities, and I understand a lot about the natural development of children and work to encourage that.
