About Krystina

I am 24 years old and just moved back to Southern California from the Bay Area where I lived for 5 years. I'm currently in the process of becoming a substitute teacher and I am looking to provide tutoring services in the meantime. I have 3+ years of tutoring/teaching experience with a focus on literacy. I graduated with a degree in Sociology in 2011 and I've been working at an elementary education ever since. I spent the 2013-2014 school year as an after school teacher in San Francisco where I provided homework help and other supplemental educational activities to keep my 19 third grade students engaged. I created daily lesson plans, organized field trips, and kept in constant communication with parents. I've attended numerous trainings regarding various topics of child care and education. From 2009-2011, I ran the day-to-day operations of a literacy tutoring center. Along with personally tutoring 8-10 students per week, I coached more than 30 community volunteers on how to successfully tutor students. As an educator, it's important for me to be a good role model for children. I hold them to high standards, encourage lifelong learning, higher education, and good habits while helping build self-esteem, responsibility, independence and teamwork. I'm here to support your child in becoming the best they can be while keeping them safe and sound. I'm available to begin working immediately. Background checks are required for all individuals to begin working on school campuses! I have had a clean background record for the past 3 years until present.
