Greetings, 15+ years of experience. Had my Certified Nursing Assistant and Home Health Aide license. Didn't renew due to moving into another field of work. Excellent references readily available. I'm absolute patience. Assisting your loved with their quality of life is my focus. It can feel invasive to have a stranger in your home, like it takes your independence away. I try to remind them "I am just an extension of you. What you'd like, I'll do. I'm your arms, legs, ears and eyes if you need". Like something done a particular way? I happily will do this action, until they are pleased with the outcome. I rarely take something personal. It's an honor to provide companionship. I've done respite, medical appts, Bingo, shopping, dementia, hospice, and etc. I'm with the Red Cross. As a Duty Officer I am able to do my work remotely, as it is dispatch. Good personal and driving record. This is something I enjoy doing and am open to taking on a client or two, if the fit is right.
