About Kristin

I have been working with children since I became a certified babysitter when I was 11 years old. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education for K-8th grade with a minor in Early Childhood (Birth-3rd). I have been a private tutor for several different children in all grades, from K through 8th grade, to improve their academics. I have experience working with children with special needs. I have taught 3 and 4-year-old preschool, as well as 4K in my past jobs. I have worked in an after school program where I supervised 18 school-aged children of varying ages at once. I am passionate about working with children because it is very rewarding to teach them and watch them learn and grow. I like to include learning experiences that happen naturally through play. I strive to teach children to be responsible for their learning and behavior. I like to teach children how to do certain things for themselves, so that they can build confidence and excitement for learning.

Kristin was our first nanny experience and she is the best! We were on several wait lists for center daycares but needed more assistance during the wait time. Kristin is very organized, communicative and kind! This is my first baby and Kristin is a wealth of knowledge on how to take care of babies! She helped me with starting solids, schedule and even brought her own educational toys from home to play with my baby! We eventually got off the wait list and Kristin assisted us with the transition. For example, she’d feed my baby lunch from a lunch box like they’d do at school and made sure self feeding was strong. We also switched the schedule up to mimic the daycare schedules. Sometimes my baby would be sleeping when Kristin would be here but Kristin was very proactive and helpful around the house. She’d wash bottles or fold baby clothes. We can’t recommend Kristin enough!
