I'd describe my personality as empathetic, Kind hearted and respectful. I'm looking for a job where I can help out in the early evenings or overnight. I like caring for seniors because after working in an ER setting, I saw how many are often on their own or feel like a burden to their family. They deserve kindness during their later years. I want to ease their daily task load whether that's light housework, preparing a meal, helping with meds, handling phone calls and appointments, bathing and toileting needs, running errands or providing transportation. I enjoy board games, puzzles, and card playing as well as simply offering companionship. I started senior care when my gram had knee replacement surgery that didn't go well, confining her to a wheelchair. I've also done the "hiring" of her other caregivers, providing me the perspective of both sides. I know how hard it can be to trust someone new with your elderly loved one and the expectations that come with that.
