When she was “on”, she was superb. But after my kids became entirely attached and we were quite reliant, she was suddenly unpredictable and moody. Call-ins started to average once per week. She worked many hours for us, but despite being asked weekly if she needed adjustments, providing paid days off and offering reduced schedule/ more hours, she never communicated any concerns or desires for change. After promising us an (unnecessary, but appreciated) month lead time before quitting, she left our family stranded with no childcare (weeks after my husband started his new job). Barely said goodbye to my children and she was done. If you hire her, be aware that she will dazzle you and seem like a gift from nowhere, but that could change on a dime. I feel confident saying this as, in hindsight, the timelines of her work with previous families didn’t quite line up and included misleading/ untrue stories of moving, etc.). She also only had one reference despite reporting many years of childcare (and that one reference had met her once at the time I spoke with them).
