I am an experienced public school teacher with a background in special education. I taught in Randolph at the Lyons School in an inclusion kindergarten setting for 9 years. After having my son, I decided to stay home and give up my classroom. I have been enjoying my time at home and I now feel ready to take on a bit more besides motherhood! I would love the opportunity to support or challenge your elementary school aged child. I truly enjoy working with children and believe that a strong relationship and meaningful and exciting learning experiences are what children crave. Kristen is a close friend who has helped me out with child care many times. What sets Kristen apart from other caregivers is that she not only has 12 years experience as a kindergarten teacher, but she understands children on a level most providers, and people, do not - she has a knack for understanding what drives children to act in certain ways and is always implementing new and improved ways to help children thrive! She has a strong understanding of developmentally appropriate behaviors and needs and is a stickler when it comes to safety. Most importantly, she loves every child as if they are her own. Her circle of acquaintances and friends is far reaching, and for good reason, because she befriends the children first, and in turn, communicates to the parents that she is devoted to their best interests. I don't know about you, but I have a difficult time not loving and adoring anyone who communicates genuine love and devotion toward my children. She is a true gift!
