Kristen (Kris) was our nanny for our newborn daughter from 2009-2010. She also continued to be the ONLY person we hired to care for our child for our date nights, until her move to Florida. Kristen is now like family to us. Our now, almost 7 year old daughter, still talks about Kris and now much she loves her. I can still see our daughter jumping up and down while looking out the front door when she saw Kris' car turn down our street. I was a first time mom, and mom of an only-child, and immediately Kris put me at ease....and taught me so much. Kris is as patient, kind, funny, and supportive to the parents, as our kiddo! Kris has so much experience working with children of all ages. She knows all the developmental stages, milestones, and tricks of the trade that help each challenging issue that can arise. Kris also has so much fun with the kids - she's down on the floor playing, creating art projects, experiencing the outdoors, laughing, imagining, creating, teaching...you name it! I remember when I met Kris, I thought to myself, "This must be too good to be true." As a social worker, I was skeptical and trust was hard for me to give another with my baby, my child. How could I be the one to find a baby whisperer and a real life Mary Poppins, right?! Well, we did hit the nanny lottery and Kris is exactly as she presents. Our family is going to Disney in a couple months, and connecting with Kris while in Orlando is on our vacation list. We miss her dearly, and our daughter can't wait to see her again! I don't think this is the norm for families and prior care-givers, as vacation experiences go, so I think this exemplifies how important her care was in our daughter's life. I assure you Kris is INCREDIBLE at what she does - she is the best nanny/child care professional one could hope for! She will love and care for your child just like her own.
