About Kristen

I like working with kids because they look at the world from a whole different perspective and never fail to make me smile. I'm looking for a job that I can work full time in the summer when I'm not working at an elementary school or in school myself. Ideally I'd like a consistent schedule with kids who want to have fun! I started working with kids when I was 15 in a pool environment. I taught swim lessons for 5 years and left as a supervisor this past winter. In addition, I've been working as a substitute at a K-8 school for just under 3 years. In my spare time, I like to spend as much time outside as possible. I love going for walks and reading outside, my ideal day is having every meal outside. I also love to go to target and hangout with my friends, family, and dog. My skills include putting myself on the same level as the kids in my care, explaining things effectively, and safety around water.
