About Kristen

I have been a Washington state certified teacher for over five years and truly love my job! Now that I have a 3-month-old son with Down syndrome, I've decided to start tutoring instead of going back to the classroom full-time. I have taught first, second, and sixth in the School District, and have taught overseas. In Okinawa, Japan, I taught high school special education for two years, and third grade general education for a year before we moved back to Spokane. We are currently living in CDA, but will be moving to the South Hill by August 1st. I also love coaching athletics and I am a certified Cross Fit instructor, so I can assist students who need help maintaining a healthy lifestyle. I have also taught Early Intervention, and I am able to work with toddlers through teens who have disabilities and learning challenges. My program will be developed around your child's specific needs and goals, and will be engaging and enjoyable!
