About Krista

Krista was able to fit in to our schedule and needs with little problem. She cared for my wife who has severe dementia and was able to greatly improve her quality of life. Aside from the daily "housekeeping" duties she managed to get her out of the house and taking short walks, having coffee, and "seeing the sites." Most importantly, Krista thought on her feet. If there were issues and I was not around, she would contact me and if I were not available, she made decisions on her own. Most importantly, she was able to form a deep bond with my wife (and me!) and she earned our trust in every way. My wife seldom remembers anyone (including me sometimes) and Krista's gentle, non-threatening approach made her one of the people my wife remembers. She adjusted her schedule several times to accommodate our needs and eventually recommended a slightly different schedule based on her assessment of our needs. She interacted with all of our healthcare professionals and was liked and respected by them. The short version is that Krista in a professional helper who was became a part of our family in a brief time. We know she is leaving for a great new adventure doing social work in an area of great need. We would welcome her back tomorrow and assure you that she is simply The Best!
