I worked in every SPED program offered by the high-school; Adult Transition, Life Skills, and Gen Ed. My students were aged 14 to 24, and ranged from those with high to low support needs. I have experience working with students with a wide range of behavior support needs and social, emotional challenges. I am a direct and thoughtful communicator, who can adjust to the needs of others and remain flexible. I don't want to set the expectations in your household, I want to understand your expectations and be an extension of that.

Kiya made a wonderful first impression. She took a genuine interest in our son’s interests and asked thoughtful questions about the best ways to connect with him. I especially appreciated that she wanted to build rapport before starting the caregiver role. Her experience with teens and caring approach gives me confidence she’ll be a positive role model. We’re excited to have her support our son after school and be a positive role model.
