About Makenna

Hello! I have extensive experience as a nanny professionally, and have been caring for children my entire life. I worked part-time as a nanny when I was in high school, but I was also a full-time nanny for 2 years, working with a few different families- all kiddos under 6 years old. I have experience with infants too- the baby I nannied for was 10 months when I started and Ive loved to see his growth into a wonderful, silly 2-year-old! I recently graduated with a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology, with a specialization in trauma recovery for children. I integrate coping skills and emotional regulation strategies into my work nannying as well, teaching kiddos to be empathetic, confident, and kind to themselves and others. I also have experience as a professional Child and Family Specialist with foster kiddos. I love spending time outside (hiking, at the park, going to the beach), doing creative activities (painting, crafts), and as a yoga teacher (both for kids and adults!).
