About Kimnichelle

I have been caring for children of various ages on and off for 25 years. I enjoy and work well with kids of all ages. After college I worked in a daycare center where I took the initiative to create a summertime learning program with fun activities. When my two children were quite young I did home daycare. Over the years I've cared for friends', co-workers', and acquaintance's children. I was the assistant den leader for my boys' cub scout pack for 5 years, and I taught religious education as a volunteer for my church for 2 years. I worked for a local school district as a behavior coach for 1 year. Currently I work as an Outreach/Resource Coordinator where I have helped families who have children with mental/emotional/behavioral challenges connect to resources in their communities, and where I have provided support and advocacy for the past 5 years. These jobs all required a background check to ensure I'm legally cleared to work with kids. I am a mature single mother to two older children (both boys). I have reliable transportation, a clean driving record, and I don't smoke. I have 2 dogs of my own, so pets are not a problem at all. I enjoy playing outside, going for walks, and playing at the park, and I don't mind getting dirty. Reading and playing games are fun, too. Homework help and dirty diapers do not scare me. I'm accustomed to preparing meals when necessary, doing bedtime routines and tidying up the house before the day is done.
