Particularly rescues, the whole family loves and appreciates how our pets quickly become as important (or pretty close) to any family member. My 19-year-old daughter (when home from college) and myself both have cared for animals of friends. I was scheduled to stay with our pediatricians dogs while she was away and became sick halfway through the commitment so it was a great benefit for her to be able to step in. We both are active and in love w our (now only one)dog and his care-she will face time from college more often to interact with him than us. You'd meet both of us so that you and your pet(s) could determine a preference or team effort.
