My name is Kimberly I'm currently located in Columbia, SC. I am an energetic educator who recently came back from serving in the Peace Corps in Nicaragua Central America for two years teaching English to high schoolers and training 25+ teachers. I've also worked with U. S Embassy sponsored leadership camps and have tons of fun with students ages 5-18 through hands on learning techniques, while mentoring young people from 19-24. I am bilingual and acquired the Spanish Language while studying abroad in Ecuador as well as teaching overseas in Nicaragua. I have been back in the states for about two weeks now and will be beginning a position with an after-school youth program as the Education Director but in the meantime would love to help support local families with date nights/weekends and tutoring Spanish. Kimberly, has a calm gentle spirit when working with children. Yet, she also can be authoritative when needed. She was always on time, creative in her play with my children, was an excellent tutor, and even provided light house keeping. My children love her, and we still keep in contact with her even though she is not currently working for us. She was always professional and dependable, with a loving heart, but not afraid to discipline and redirect children as needed.
