About Kierra

Hello, my name is Kierra! I am currently a patient care technician at Mayo Clinic hospital. I help with bathing, dressing, oral care, toileting, feeding. Transferring from and to wheelchairs. I check vitals, handle drains, tube feedings, empty catheter bags and place catheters as well. I am CPR certified. I currently work with dementia patients and have worked on a dementia unit. Before Mayo, I worked as a medication technician, where I organized, monitored and gave medication, checked blood sugars and administered insulin when needed. Across both roles, I've learned to pay attention to each persons needs, respect privacy, and communicate clearly. I'd describe my personality as patient, dependable, and attentive. I believe in treating every person with dignity and respect.
